Can and Should We Separate Jesus from Christianity?
Date: 6/28/2018 12:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: Theology
Presenter: Kale Johnson
Synopsis: Christianity is a religion of which many are acquainted. Its long reach has influenced the morals and ethics of Western society, shaped governments, directed Western education, and even has restricted the way people marry, have sex, and enjoy life. It isn’t a surprise that many who seek Truth come to clash with the forces of Christianity. They resent the dogma and tyranny of which the various manifestations of Christianity have brought upon the world. From the inquisition and crusades, to the persecution of science and philosophy, many followers of Christ have set it upon themselves to mold a world in the image of their God and Savior: Jesus Christ. There is no way to undo or forget two thousand years of rape, pillage, and murder of millions of “non-believers”, especially when one is subjected to their battle cry: “...love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
