Is the Decline of Cursive Writing a Reflection of a Deteriorating Society?
Date: 7/7/2018 10:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: History
Presenter: http://admin.universalfreemasonry.org/MPSStudyCenter.aspxRosamaria Gomez de Lopez
Synopsis: Many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were either known or suspected Freemasons. All will recognize the beautiful handwriting styles on that document. Generally, those writers used a method known as muscular writing where the full arm muscle is used instead of only the wrist and fingers. Calligraphy and longhand writing are styles that use this method. As muscular handwriting has been falling into disuse, so have the fountain pen, brush, and even the feather pen. We will learn some of the historic usages of muscular handwriting and discuss the detriment to humanity associated with the decline of muscular handwriting.

Could Walking the Path of Enlightenment Really Be the Turning Back of Time?
Date: 11/3/2018 10:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: Natural Science
Presenter: Kathy Courtney
Synopsis: Universal Co-Masonry is a group of open minded seekers who study science and the arts so that the truth may become clearer or even known. Time seems so obvious, yet intensely mysterious and powerful. Since it seems to have the same physics as light and sound that Man has already mastered, it follows that it will only be a matter of time before Man is able to master the science and art of Time. In this discussion, some scientific theories of what time is, how it came into being and some of its ancient symbols will be reviewed along with significant myths and legends on what time is, why it is venerated, how to use it well, and its possible control.

Do You Believe Humans Can Communicate With Other Species?
Date: 12/1/2018 10:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: Natural Science
Presenter: Evonne Paskow
Synopsis: Throughout history, there are humans who have claimed to communicate with different animal species. In modern times, we call these people “animal whisperers” but is this a “talent” all humans can have if they choose? If such communication is possible, what is the point or purpose of it? How does it affect human evolution and the development of society as a whole? We will explore this idea through the ages and discuss its implications in our lives today. Freemasonry encourages us to seek out the truth and that often it is not obvious to us even when right in front of us. Will we find something unexpected in our exploration of inter-specie communication?
